George Trautmann desk set, Chicago circa 1910. A very rare and finely crafted hammered copper desk set consisting of a stamp box, paperweight, calendar frame, desk tray and letter opener. Each has subtle and masterful hammering with a raised Prairie School pattern on each piece. Original patina with the decoration left lighter in color. This set is unsigned yet the desk tray is illustrated in the book “Metalcraft & Jewelry” by Emil Kronquist (see photos). The tray measures 8.75” by 3” and the box is 4” by 2.5” and 1.5” tall. SOLD
