Richard Enter vase, Denver CO circa 1907. A rare and unique hammered copper vase with three lower vases around the perimeter of a central tall vase. Last year, a copper mounted ceramic vase caused quite a stir online (see image below) and bore a large RE monogram with a Denver retailer stamp. We delved into research and discovered a Richard Enter who worked in Denver and exhibited a well reviewed booth in a 1907 Denver Arts & Crafts exhibition (See International Studio clippings below). It appears Enter immigrated from Munich and first set up an ironworks shop in Los Angeles around 1903 before moving to Santa Barbara and setting up a studio on State St (near Elizabeth Burton) in 1905. By 1906 he was in Colorado and exhibiting work. This vase has his RE monogram stamped at the top of the vase, true pride in craftsmanship. Excellent original condition and patina, measures 11.5” tall and 5.75” wide. SOLD
