Heinrich Carl woodblock, American circa 1920. Little is known about this artist, the work that has surfaced is quite stunning as can be seen in this artist proof image entitled “Dogwood Blossoms.” His hand painted blocks were given a gradation of tonality to impress a sense of sunrise in the background. Signed with his chop mark in top right corner, signed and titled in pencil. Excellent condition, double mat frame under museum non-reflective acrylic. Frame measures 17.5” square, image is 7.5” square. $1500
