Bruno Paul candelabrum, manufactured by Vereinigten Werkstätten für Kunst im Handwerk (United Workshops for Art in Crafts) in 1900, Dresden. A rare model and fine example of early Art Nouveau modernism in Germany, possibly exhibited at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900 where the group won a Grand Prix. Other members of the Vereinigten Werkstätten included Bernhard Pankok , Richard Riemerschmid and Hermann Obrist. Candelabrum features a large base mounted with a central shaft and candle holder; a three arm branch with delicately angled arms extend and end with a small Jugendstil finial under each candle. Measures 10” tall and 6” wide at the base. Unmarked as is typical of this workshop. $1250
